The Sunday Edition

The Sunday Edition

It’s 10pm here and my mind feels somewhat blank. I think I’ve watched the God Is A Woman music video fifty times over the past 24 hours and all I can summon to write are random lyrics from it.

Seriously though – what a lyrical and visual masterpiece. If you haven’t watched it yet, you really need to. Absolutely brilliant.

Anyway – hi hi hi how are we all? Another week has gone by and blah blah blah but seriously I swear it was only May like yesterday. My license is due for a renewal and semester two begins in a week and then alllllll of the birthdays begin – at least in my family. I remember telling myself in July last year that I was going to be so much more organised by July 2018 but lol here I am riding by the seat of my pants AS PER USUAL.

I hope you guys enjoy this weeks Sunday edition. I’ve been a little bit behind putting these up regularly after exams, so I hope you don’t mind that there are a plethora of articles to read this week. I figure it might help your lazy Sunday morning extend into a lazy Sunday afternoon and honestly, who can resist that?

Grab a cuppa and a croissant if you’re feeling fancy, and let’s get into it.

ARTICLES

First things first – my lovely friend Laura got married and wrote all about it on her blog. I’m a sucker for details and so I really enjoyed reading about {and seeing!} how Laura and Dave customised their special day. Congratulations guys!

I’ve been feeling really out of sorts lately due to some PCOS related issues, so Harry made a huge vitamin order for me {such a gorgeous man} and among the bottles of Vitex and Inositol was Ashwagandha. I’ve been wanting to try it for so long but keep forgetting to order it, so I’m really excited to see if it has a positive impact on my anxiety and stress levels. This post is an in-depth run down on all things adaptogenic herbs, in case you were wondering what I’m on about. I’ll keep you guys posted on my experience with it.

With multiple packages arriving on doorsteps weekly, it can be hard to take care of the environment and be a blogger at the same time. Here’s a post on ways that you can be a little more eco-concious as a blogger/influencer in 2018.

Everything you need to know about essential oils – this is a fab post to bookmark for reference.

While it’s not technically summer here, I’ve been toying with the idea of a daily siesta. Jacey breaks down why we all should be napping every day, and I dunno about you guys, but I am so down with this concept.

10 book recommendations for the bibliophiles out there.

I loved Daisy’s post on Parisian fashion. It’s something I’m becoming more and more fascinated with every day.

3 tips on mindful eating from a food therapist – because following a functional diet is something I’m struggling with so much right now, if I’m being entirely honest.

Sure, we’ve all heard the term circadian rhythm – but wtf does it actually mean? This post is all about helping us understand the concept and become masters of our own sleep patterns.

Will the late night snackers please stand up? You need to read this post.

I’m so for content relating to reducing plastic use right now. Madeleine recently shared her guide on going plastic free and I loved every word of it.

Making your water even healthier? It’s totally a thing.

6 hygiene and skin products to always have on you when travelling – definitely a post to bookmark for your next holiday.

These strawberry rhubarb chia overnight oat parfaits are basically dessert but shhhhh! I won’t tell anyone.

15 things all 25-year-olds need to hear.

And finally, the recipe for this jalapeño relish is everything to me right now. I’ve been on a major Mexican food kick lately and nothing makes me more excited than a spicy af jalapeño relish.

These elasticised culottes look super comfy for winter lounging but I think would also look fab with a blazer and some simple loafers. I’m all for multi-use fashion items.

I’ve been wanting a silk pillowcase for the longest time and I keep stumbling across this one whenever I step into a store. Is this the universe sending me a sign? Are the fine lines starting to take over?!

How pretty are these monogrammed necklaces? I feel like they’d make a bold statement with any outfit, but a white button down with black jeans is the first thing that springs to mind for me.

You know how I said earlier that I love details? Imagine having these on your window frames to hold back your curtains. GORG – right?!

This tulle maxi skirt is giving me major Carrie Bradshaw vibes.

I’m thinking this robe is the perfect item to wear while reading The Sunday Edition. Thoughts?

Leopards are my spirit animal, so I think I’ll have to treat myself to this gorg nightshirt.

Just in case you guys forgot – this is the best mascara to exist. Like ever. Don’t waste your money buying anything else.

& because being hydrated is always chic – the BKR Naked Water Bottle has been calling my name for so long. Should I? Shouldn’t I? Let me know in the comments below!

    Hi Sharni,
I’m so excited that you’re posting The Sunday Edition posts again – I love reading your curation of links from around the internet and always find new blogs and interesting articles to pursue further. 🙂

Also, thank you so much for featuring my blog post on Parisian fashion – your support means so much to me! 🙂

I’m becoming more aware of my environmental footprint lately too – Madeleine’s tips are really useful, definitely bookmarking this.
I’m loving essential oils at the moment too, so this guide couldn’t have come at a better time. I mean, you can never have too many scents in your collection, can you?! Hehe 🙂
And yes yes yes to the sleep article – so interesting.

Omg, I love the design of BKR Naked Water Bottles too. I have a dupe from a homewares store called Minimax which cost something like $20 and looks very similar. Miniso have a large range of colours and similar designs to BKR too, which are also rather cheap. 🙂

Those monogrammed necklaces are so sweet and unique too – defintely added to the wishlist! 🙂

Beautiful photos too – I love a colourful bunch of fresh blooms!

Wishing you a lovely week ahead,
    Daisy xxx

Thanks Daisy! So glad you’re enjoying these posts! Your Parisian Fashion roundup was one of your best yet I think – such brill advice and gorgeous photos. I’ll have to look into those MiniMax bottles – love a good dupe! xo

Thank you so much for featuring one of my blog posts in your curation – I can’t tell you how much your support means to me! 🙂

I’m becoming increasingly aware of my impact on the environment lately too – Madeleine Shaw’s guide is really interesting and helpful for reducing my impact – thanks for sharing! I also loved the essential oils guide, I have a few in my collection but am always looking for new scents…
And yes yes yes to sleep – what an interesting read.

And omg – I love the BKR Naked Water Bottles too. I have a similar one (although it’s a dupe) which I found at a homewares store Minimax for like $20 and Miniso have a pretty large range of colours and designs which are quite similar and are quite cheap too. 🙂 Also, I LOVE the monogram necklace trend – I think they’re so sweet and unique!
