The Sunday Edition

What are your thoughts on a capsule wardrobe? It’s something I’ve toyed with for years, always too scared to take the leap because I’m way too attached to my material possessions while at the same time also being incredibly indecisive — basically, not the ideal mental state to be ridding myself of half of my wardrobe.

But, with that said, I do think it’s something I’ll approach once my weight has balanced out a little [I gain 5kg overnight sometimes lol #thatpcoslife] so I always enjoy reading about peoples experiences with a capsule wardrobe in the meantime. I loved Jodie’s post on why she’s sticking with her capsule wardrobe in 2019, and it made me so excited to be able to try the practice out one day!

Very into this idea of buying yourself a diamond after each breakup.

I’ve been in a relationship for over 8 years, so we’ve both witnessed each other morph into the people we are today. Sometimes that can be a little confronting — the concept of growing and changing into almost new people, at the very least new from the person you first met and fell in love with. Here are 4 ways to grow *with* your partner, rather than apart.

On a budget? Saving for for long term travel? Saving for long term travel WHILE on a budget? This post is for you.

“While we all wish that we could have obsessive thoughts about how amazing we are, we most likely experience the opposite. Our brains create scary scenarios in our minds because they want to protect us and keep us safe from doing risky and uncomfortable things. This is why applying for a new job or simply making a new friend can feel like the end of the world. Whatever situation you’re experiencing, remember to be kind to yourselfand your thoughts. At the end of the day, your thoughts are just thoughts, and they’re not always accurate.” Do you, too, experience obsessive thoughts? Here are a few ways to stop them in their tracks.

“I accepted that I will never be that person who can sustain myself on matcha lattes or acai bowls. I will never be vegan or vegetarian, because I love meat. I will probably never stop drinking, because I love wine. I am not Gwyneth Paltrow, nor can I afford to be, or do I want to be. I’m a everything-in-moderation-because-life-is-too-damn-short kinda person, and if that keeps me at a size 8 instead of a size 2, well… guess what? I’ve decided to be ok with that. I have chosen that. Sure, I’ll diet here and there to get myself back on track or cleanse my body of alcohol for a week or two, but I personally refuse to go through life depriving myself of experiences that make me happy just because I want to look better in jeans. Because, guess what? I still look good in jeans. Just so happens that they’re a size 28 instead of a size 26.” LOVED this approach to body issues and self love.

Those who are in relationships, have you and your partner ever slept in seperate beds? Harry and I did for a few months at the end of last year until our king bed arrived because my insomnia was sooo bad, and it was a really effective practice that helped both of us get better sleep and fight less during the day. Here’s a post on it by someone who permanently sleeps in a seperate bed to her husband, and I find it really interesting.
