September Reading List

September Reading List

After joining my local library and getting kind of addicted to the ease of an e-book, I’ve spent some time stocking up my TBR [to-be-read] list on Goodreads. There’s something so satisfying about knowing exactly what you’re planning on reading next, and I think the excitement of the next book always helps propel me through my current read.

Here are the three books I have on my reading list this September. I’d love to know what you’re reading right now! I feel like you guys always have the best recommendations, so make sure to leave them in the comments below.

 Friend Request by Laura Marshall

I’m about half way through this one and have been slowly making my way through it over the past month or so. It’s an actual book – like a proper, physical book – so I’m thinking that’s why I’m a bit unenthusiastic about it. The plot is actually really good! I don’t even have a theory on how it’s going to end yet, which is always a good sign.

The Ones You Trust by Caroline Overington

I’m reading this one as an e-book ARC [advanced reader copy] for NetGalley. I’m only a few pages in so far, but it’s been given so many 5 star ratings that I just know it’s going to be epic.

The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter

This book is another that I have heard such good things about. I’m actually about a quarter of the way through this one and finding that the story is getting a little dry. Hopefully it only takes a few more chapters until I’m hooked.

What are you planning on reading this month?

Hi Chanelle! I just accepted your friend request, so you can probably tell that I don’t mind at all. I’m excited to see what you’re reading right now! xo

Awesome! The current book I’m reading sounds like it’s going to be a girly, love story from the blurb on the back x

Oh I love that you have a bookshelf at work! Such a cute idea. I’m enjoying Friend Request so far! I’ve always loved British mystery novels. xo

I don’t actually have a reading list at the moment! I want to finish reading Harry Potter as I only have two books to go – I’m reading them for the first time in English (I’m from Finland) – but other than that, I don’t really have a plan. I have a lot of books on my shelves that I haven’t read yet so I guess I’ll just pick one when the time comes!

I’m currently reading The Runaway Princess by Hester Browne and I think it’s amazing! Romance and chick-lit are my favourite genres and it’s the perfect mix. I think it might be my favourite book ever! I’m also reading The Little Book of Hygge which I’m loving as well xx
