Hi, I’m Sharni – the editor of A Girl & Grey. I truly believe that life is not black or white… it’s the million shades of grey in-between, and that’s why I started this website. I find comfort in documenting my life and writing about its quirks, inconsistencies, and the things I’ve learnt along the way – and hopefully you enjoy reading about it too.

I started A Girl & Grey in 2016 after graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Creative Writing degree {that I had no idea what to do with}, and since then have worked with a multitude of brands and other creatives, all while cultivating a space online that I’m really proud of.

If I’m not watching back-to-back psychological thrillers on my couch, I’m taking photos of my cats or buying way too much skincare for one person to ever need.

If you need to get in touch, you can send an email to sharni@agirlandgrey.com, or you can find me on social media @agirlandgrey.

Where do you live?

I’m based on the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

What camera do you use?

Almost all of my photos are taken on a Canon 1300D. Otherwise, I just use my iPhone.

What do you use to edit your photos?

I use a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop to edit my photos.

How did you learn to take photos?

I taught myself! I think playing around with your camera and understanding what everything does is the only way to learn. I did study photography in high-school, but as most classes were spent gossiping about boys, I didn’t retain much. Google and Youtube host a wealth of information on camera equipment and use, so I’d recommend starting there, or shoot me an email {sharni@agirlandgrey.com} if you have any specific questions.

How can I contact you?

Send an email to sharni@agirlandgrey.com, or message me on Instagram.

Do you take guest posts?

I do not accept guest posts on A Girl & Grey as I prefer to have all content written by myself in my personal style.

Can we collaborate / can I send you my product?

Head to this page for information about press samples and collaborations.
