5 Teas To Try

5 Teas To Try

It’s been a while since I’ve written a post about the teas I’m drinking right now, and since Winter is almost over, I figured there was no time better than the present.

See, I live to drink tea. It’s just what I do. Some people really don’t seem to understand how I can drink so much warm liquid every day, but coffee addicts exist in this world too, so I know I’m not alone here.

The only problem is – sometimes it can be hard to navigate the wide world of tea – and there’s nothing I hate more than buying tea that tastes gross. It’s just the worst!

Here are five teas I’m drinking and loving right now – let me know what’s in your cup!

Five To Try - A Girl & Grey

Bonfire Toffee by Bluebird Tea Co

I feel like I always have a raging sweet tooth, and I’ve discovered that the right cup of tea can completely erase any nagging cravings for dessert. This blend by the ever-so-lovely Bluebird Tea Co is life changing in this regard. It’s a black tea blend, so I generally drink it during the morning hours, but it contains cinnamon, apple and caramel for the perfect breakfast brew. It tastes seriously smooth and kinda smoky too, which I love.

Pure Skin by Pure Tea Co

I’ve just realised that I seem to have the older packaging of this tea (the new one is pink!!!) but I’m so unbelievably obsessed with this Pure Tea Co. If the packaging wasn’t enough to persuade you – their teas taste amazing and really do what they say on the box. I brew myself a huge pot of this whenever I notice my skin is freaking out a bit, and usually in a few days things have clearer up – if not sooner. I am in no way saying that it’s a cure all ale, but I can tell from how my body feels that it has a cleansing, calming and detoxifying effect, which probably has a lot to do with the fact that it contains calendula!

Calming Peach by Governor’s Estate

I mean… another tea with gorgeous packaging… but aside from that – this peachy blend by Governor’s Estate (loveliest company, by the way) is my go-to on those afternoons where everything gets a bit too much to deal with. It tastes like those little peach lollies I’m obsessed with, and contains lemongrass, fennel, lavender and liquorice which are all beyond soothing for your mind, body (and digestive tract).

Honeydew Green by Tea Drop

Now, I’ve been drinking this exact same blend of green tea for over five years now – which shows you just how good it is. I’ve tried many other green blends over the years, and while they are all great on their own merit – they’ve never been able to reach the flavour of this tea by Tea Drop. It’s most likely got to do with the fact that I love honeydew melon – so if you’re a fan of that juicy green fruit, like me, then get your mitts on this tea. I promise you’ll love it.

New York Breakfast by T2

And if you follow me on Instagram, then this last tea won’t be a surprise at all. It’s the New York Breakfast blend by T2 and oh my god is it life changing. It tastes like buttery pancakes topped with a generous drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of cinnamon. If you’re new to the world of tea and don’t believe me – why don’t you head into your local T2 store and have a sniff of these leaves. They are just INCREDIBLE. I often limit myself to this tea on the weekends otherwise I’d have to buy myself a new box each week.
