LUSH Haulin’

LUSH Haulin’

One of the major benefits of moving house this time of year is that our new place has the most insane bath, at least compared to what I’m used to. It’s deep and definitely big enough for two, and it’s perfect for lots and lots (and lots) of bubbles. This is where LUSH comes in.

See, I’ve been shopping at LUSH since my first year in Canberra – five years ago, almost to the month. I first started shopping there for their skincare and ocean themed products, because my skin was missing the warm, beachy weather from back home. It was my first time experimenting with different skincare and beauty brands and I almost immediately fell in love. The Ocean Salt face and body scrub is still one of my holy grail products.

I ventured to the North Lakes LUSH store over the weekend to stock up (and I mean stock up) on bath (and shower) goodies to make the cooler months that much cosier. I originally wanted to get my hands on the entire Easter range, but was so sad to find that most of it was gone! Sold out!

I wasn’t sad for too long, however, as I bought enough products to keep me satisfied until my next visit! I thought today I would go through and show you all what I bought, and perhaps give you some ideas for your next shop? As per usual, leave me your product recommendations in the comments below. While I have tried a lot from LUSH, their range is never-ending, so there’s always something new to try!

Mask of Magnaminty Face Mask

There is always a pot of this green goodness sitting in my bathroom cabinet. It’s minty and fresh and contains bentonite, kaolin, honey and peppermint essential oil, which is amazing for your complexion. I use this mask when I have a breakout, or can sense one coming on, and it works really well to soothe and replenish my skin.

Honey I Washed The Kids Soap

The scent in this soap is second to none. It’s so sweet and cosy and aaaaah I just cannot put into words how much I love this soap! It contains fairly traded honey, orange and bergamot and smells absolutely divine! There’s also a solid shampoo, bath bomb and and shower gel with this fragrance, and they’re all amazing – obviously.

The Experimenter Bath Bomb

I’ve never tried this product but I’ve seen it all over social media. It’s bright and fragrant and smells divine, probably because it contains tonka and vanilla bean, and it swirls all of its colours throughout your tub to make it look magical! I’ve heard once it all dissolves and the colours mix together the water looks a little grey, but we all know I’m a major fan of grey so this product sounds right up my street. I’ll most likely be posting about it on Instagram once I’ve used it, so make sure you’re following me!

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

One thing I love about LUSH is that most of their employees are seriously nice. When I was in their North Lakes store I met Zac, who served me at the checkout and was able to answer a bunch of my questions. Basically, I’ve heard amazing things on Kate’s blog about BIG Shampoo for limp hair, but I have weird skin (as we know) and I wasn’t sure how it would affect my hair/scalp health. Zac basically walked me through the product (and gave me a sample!) and also recommended Rub Rub Rub as the go-between from the (sea salt shampoo) and BIG, just to try. I’m always on the hunt for volumising hair products, so of course I tried this the second I got home – and it actually works. My hair was significantly less oily and felt fuller, so I’m excited to try BIG once I’m out of this product! You can also use it on your body as an exfoliant, and in the bath as a dissolvable scrub!

Chocolate Easter Egg Soap

This soap is chocolatey yet zesty and kind of vanillary at the same time! I’m yet to use it, but was kind of surprised at the scent – definitely not what I expected but I still love it just the same!

Yoga Bomb Bath Bomb

This is another LUSH product I am yet to try, but I’ve seen it heaps on Instagram and Twitter, as well as on a bunch of blogs. It’s got sandalwood in it and smells super relaxing, kind of like a Yoga session I guess?

Chocolate Lip Scrub

This product smells like chocolate orange and having never used a lip scrub before – I was pleasantly surprised at both the taste and the results! My lips often get dry and gross in the cooler months so this is perfect to use right before I apply my makeup for a smoother lipstick application!

Dragons Egg Bath Bomb

I’ve tried this bath bomb before and I absolutely loved it. The pink spot you see on the bath bombs surface is just one of many bergamot and citrus scented pockets that float to the surface of the bath and dissolve, while leaving you with baby soft skin. This is definitely a classic LUSH product!

Fizzbanger Bath Bomb

I believe I’ve also tried this bath bomb, and loved it. It is full of popping candy and smells like apple pie, so it’s the perfect bath bomb for the whole family. Who wouldn’t love witnessing harmless fireworks in their own tub?

Salted Caramel Soap

This is my FAVOURITE soap ever! It smells kind of like their Yog Nog Christmas Soap, but better! The solid rocks of sea salt act as an exfoliant while you rub the bar over your body, and the scent honestly lingers on my skin for the entire day! Zac also told me that this soap is here to stay which obviously makes me so so happy!

The Comforter Bubble Bar

This is another holy grail LUSH product for me, and it’s because the scent is ridiculously good! It’s also a bath product you can use way more than once, and I normally get about six baths out of this bubble bar. It smells like blackcurrant and bergamot and is perfectly ‘comforting’ year round. LUSH recently started selling this in a shower cream which I’m yet to try but sure it will become a fast favourite in my house!

And that’s everything I got from LUSH this time around! I’ll be for sure heading back soon to stock up on more bath products – and maybe some fresh face masks too!

Make sure to let me know in the comments what your favourite LUSH products are, and give me some recommendations! We all know I love to spend money!
